Opinions: Wes Anderson/Cinematic awards and achievements.

A list of awards that Wes Anderson has either been nominated for, or won for his films.

* I'm reasonably suprised by Wes' award history- naturally, being a little bit biased, I thought that he would have recieved a higher win/nomination ration- particularly for what is generally regarded as his best film, 'The Royal Tenenbaums'. However, I wasn't at all surpirsed to see that his wins were largely from Independents- the 'Independent Spirit Awards' and the 'Venice Film Festival'- as Wes is so often regarded as an "artistic director" and not necessary in tune with mainstream audiences/cinema. Also, unfourtnately for Wes, despite his great nominations success, Fantastic Mr. Fox, his debut animation, was released in the same year as Pixar's 'Up'...that was always going to be a tough one to beat.
